Collection: A TRIBUTE TO NICOLAS LEDOUX

These photographs pay tribute to the architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux through a reinterpretation of La Maison des Bûcherons. The original lines become an abstraction the trace of an idea rather than the form of a building.

Installed within the landscape and punctuated by white discs echoing my balloon installations, these shapes question the boundary between what was imagined and what comes into being, between the drawn utopia and its possible incarnation.

Set upon a mirror of water, the artworks dissolve the separation between sky and ground. At dawn or dusk, light transforms the image : photography becomes fluid no longer a reproduction of reality, but a resonance of time and its shifting presence.
