Collection: LOOGI

I am very pleased to unveil a new type of hybrid artwork, somewhere between drawing and sculpture. This is the result of research that began in 2020, a fusion of my various artistic approaches from the past. It's a kind of three-dimensional transposition of my photographs.

This transposition is both physical, through the nature of the work, and symbolic, through its title. Indeed, LOOGI is an anagram of IGLOO, the title of the original photograph being transposed. Thus, LOOGI is accompanied by its edition number, constituting the complete and unique title.
The mixture of sculptural and graphic elements creates an artistic language uniting the solid and the flat, shadow and light, the tangible and the illusory.
These works are both multiple and unique. Multiple in their sculpture and unique in the drawings that constitute them.

The sculptures are produced in 26 copies, then fixed on a composite panel covered with acid-free Clairfontaine paper + 2 artist's copies.
LOOGI is framed and then intended to be placed on a surface.
